Channel Picasso and Cocteau’s passion for the arts with a trio of ballet performances, at the Teatro dell'Opera from 23 - 29 March. Featuring Playlist (Track 1,2), first choreographed by William Forsythe for the English National Ballet in 2018, alongside Windgames by Patrick de Bana, and Women by Juliano Nunes. From 2 - 9 May, Rome’s renowned opera house will also stage a performance of Jenůfa, a powerful, thought-provoking opera in three acts by the composer Leoš Janáček. Trace Rome’s deep-rooted connection to theatre, honouring ancient legacy and contemporary expressions. For film lovers, embrace balmy evenings beneath the stars this Spring with open-air screenings at Casa del Cinema. Positioned under an umbrella of pine trees in Villa Borghese, the romantic art house cinema is renowned for hosting big-screen classics and meetings with notable directors, such as the American filmmaker Martin Scorsese who attended a special screening last spring.
