Now, with an ambitious investment programme enhancing every element of play, the resort welcomes a new season of golf.

Following a year of meticulous enhancements, Verdura Resort is stepping confidently into a new era: “We’re thrilled to unveil our exceptional new facilities, further cementing Verdura Resort’s reputation as one of Europe’s leading golf courses,” says Blair Harvey, Verdura Resort’s new Golf Sales and Marketing Director. “The response from our partners and guests has been overwhelmingly positive - they share our excitement for the future.”

This excitement is well placed. Over the past year, Verdura’s East and West Courses have been transformed with upgrades to fairway surfaces, greens, and bunkers, all under the expert technical consultation of Kyle Phillips. Sustainability has also played a key role, with a new irrigation system designed to improve efficiency while maintaining the pristine condition of the courses year-round.

Enhancing the overall experience, a new indoor driving range provides a sheltered space for year-round training, while the Golf Performance Institute has been enhanced with cutting-edge analysis tools, including Trackman technology, V1 Swing Analysis, 3D Balance Force plates, 3D Biomechanical Analysis, and Sam PuttLab Analysis. With these advancements, guests have access to professional-grade insights, whether they’re fine-tuning their swing or making small adjustments to their technique. For those heading out onto the course, navigation has been made even smoother with a fleet of new GPS-enabled buggies, ensuring a seamless experience across the greens. 

“With all these developments, we’re making sure every part of the experience at Verdura is as considered as the game itself,” says Blair. “We already have 45 of the finest golf holes in Europe, and thanks to significant investment and the hard work of Donato Di Ponziano and Lara Arias, we’ve improved nearly every blade of grass on the property”.

This spring, Verdura Resort unveils its newly renovated Clubhouse. In a nod to the resort’s storied past, it is situated close to the historic Verdura Tower, a 16th-century landmark that once formed part of the Duke of Verdura’s vast estate. Designed as a welcoming space for guests, members, and visiting golfers, it features a spacious lounge, a stylish bar, and an outdoor terrace overlooking the 18th green of the Verdura Shore Course - an idyllic spot to settle in after a round. 

“I’ve worked and played at some of the world’s leading golf destinations, from Scotland to Qatar and Mauritius, and I know what makes a course truly special,” says Blair. “Verdura has this rare ability to blend championship-level golf with a deep sense of place. You see it best on holes like the 13th on Verdura Links, a short par 3 that looks straightforward but demands precision.
