Renowned by beauty editors and experts, Irene Forte Skincare products are like a Mediterranean diet for the skin, inspired by the natural ingredients that thrive at Sicily’s Verdura Resort.
During her time as Wellness Director at Rocco Forte Hotels, Irene has forged a deep connection to the island where an organic farm provides the ingredients for her brand. It’s also home to the world’s largest Irene Forte Spa, set across a sprawling 4,000 square metres and surrounded by orange groves, olive trees and whispering palms.
During 2023 and 2024, Irene will return to Verdura to lead a series of exclusive three-night skincare retreats. With the blissful tranquillity of the Sicilian countryside and the white sands of its coastline setting the scene, guests will learn more about the science and ethos behind Irene Forte Skincare straight from its director, as well as indulging in signature treatments and exclusive rituals designed to leave both mind and body feeling truly refreshed.
An insider approach to wellness
Sharing her expert skincare and beauty knowledge, Irene will lead a masterclass full of tips and tricks including face workouts, application techniques and her favourite routines. Guests will be given goodie bags filled with products to take away so that they can put her advice into action at home too.
Led by yoga teacher and contemporary dancer Anna de Pahlen, known for hosting wellbeing classes at some of the world’s most exclusive hotels, guests can join a morning yoga class and a sunset sound healing session that makes the most of Verdura’s setting. They will also have the chance to explore the resort’s orchards and organic garden, wandering orange and lemon groves and picking paths between almonds, pomegranates and prickly pears before using Verdura’s organic produce in a cooking lesson at La Casetta nell’Orto (the hotel’s kitchen garden cottage), a special space designed by our Creative Director of Food, Fulvio Pierangelini.
Another highlight is Saturday’s Serata Siciliana, the retreat’s take on a cherished Sicilian custom of feasting and fun. Guests can join a cocktail masterclass to create drinks inspired by Irene Forte Skincare and infused with ingredients from the resort’s farm before enjoying a meal of dishes from the island.
There will be access to Verdura Resort’s extensive spa facilities throughout your stay, and surprises at each retreat, from talks by invited experts to pottery making with the resort’s ceramicist to olive harvesting. Meanwhile, guests attending the retreats will be among the first to try exciting new products from Irene Forte Skincare.
Signature treatments
One of the highlights of your stay will be the Irene Forte treatments on offer at our spa. Choose from a special menu inspired by the bounty of the local landscapes and indulge in a 90-minute face or body treatment and a 50-minute massage.
Reveal a fresher, firmer and glowing complexion with our Etna Age-Defying Facial, which uses hot and cold stones from Sicily’s famous volcano as well as the spa’s signature triple massage technique to stimulate the circulation and oxygen and nutrient flow to the skin. Restore inner balance with a Sicilian Aroma Relax Massage, with oils and aromatic infusions drawn from the island’s sun-drenched flora, or choose from a selection of other signature treatments.
Between treatments, masterclasses and meals, there’s ample time to explore the spa’s thalassotherapy pools, try the gym’s daily fitness classes or simply revel in the warmth of the Sicilian sunshine and the cosseting chicness of the resort.
Retreats run from the 5th-8th October 2023, the 4th-7th April 2024, the 27th-30th May 2024 and the 3rd-6th October 2024.
