Three unforgettable experiences for groups

Planning a group trip to Edinburgh, Brussels or Palermo in Sicily? Then ensure your clients make the most of their downtime with Afternoon Tea, a heritage tour or a coastal jaunt on a yacht.

Boat tour

Perched on the northern coast of the Italian island of Sicily, Villa Igiea overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea from its location in the heart of Palermo.

The hotel can arrange a private boat trip for up to 100 guests so they can glide around the coast and enjoy a dip in the sea around Mondello beach and Cefalù, a coastal town known for its 12th century Norman cathedral. Soft drinks and a buffet lunch are served on board.

Regal residences

Set halfway between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace, The Balmoral in Edinburgh is perfectly placed for excursions around the Scottish capital.

The Balmoral can arrange a guided group tour of Holyrood Palace – the Queen’s official Edinburgh residence – during which participants can explore Mary Queen of Scots’ 16th century apartments.

Groups keen to escape the city can also board the Queen’s Royal Yacht Britannia, which has more than a million nautical miles on her clock.

Your group can end the day in style over Afternoon Tea at The Balmoral.

Medieval masterpieces

Hotel Amigo may be just steps away from Brussels’ main square, the Grand Place, but it’s also less than an hours’ drive from Ghent, which lies at the confluence of the Leie and Scheldt rivers in northwestern Belgium.

Visitors can get their bearings by climbing the 366 steps up Ghent Belfry, a Unesco World Heritage Site. From the top they’ll overlook the city’s sights, which include Saint Bavo’s Cathedral.

Once back on the ground, groups interested in art can browse impressionist paintings, sketches and photographs of the city at STAM, then tour The Museum of Fine Arts Ghent to see Old Masters such as Peter Paul Rubens and Anthony van Dyck alongside more modern works by Auguste Rodin and René Magritte.
