From immaterial to material: thanks to the “Dream Portraits” project, you can unveil the substance of your dreams. The 'dream recording' is done by monitoring and transcribing your brain activity at night using a headset with EEG sensors during your stay.
In collaboration with the artist Matteo Nasini, the dream recording is transformed into a work of art by a team of artisans using a 3D printer. Each sculpture, crafted in fine porcelain, is unique and unrepeatable, just like your dreams.
“Dream Portraits” blends contemporary art, craftsmanship, and the comfort of a stay in the Rocco Forte Hotels suites, making the dream dimension tangible by translating brain activity into shapes and sounds.
With “Dream Portraits,” the recording of the waves generated during the REM phase of your stay in Rome becomes a dual-nature artistic creation:
