The Fall of the Wall with Daniel Biskup
An intimate exhibition showcasing the works of one of Germany’s most important documentary photographers. Daniel Biskup, whose visual art journey began aged just seventeen, traces the emotions felt during Germany's reunification period, capturing iconic moments such as the two sides’ first New Year’s Eve together at the Brandenburg Gate and an encounter with Udo Lindenberg at the newly opened border crossing at Potsdamer Platz. Biskup’s profound photographic study of Berlin would see him hailed ‘the eye of the revolution’. His unseen works will be on display in Hotel de Rome’s historic building which, once the State Bank of the GDR, now stands as a symbol of change, rebirth, openness, and internationality.
