Hotel Savoy’s suite guests are offered the rare opportunity to enjoy a private, guided visit of Scuola del Cuoio, located in the ancient Santa Croce neighbourhood. During a behind-the-scenes tour, you can witness the school’s craftsmen gild their leather creations with 22kt gold.
You are then invited to try out the techniques in a hands-on workshop facilitated by a master craftsman. Here, you’ll cut, assemble and finish a chic notebook, handbag or brass-buckle belt. Finally, personalise your creation with your initials for an extra-special finishing touch.
As a parting gesture, visitors are gifted two tickets to visit the stunning Church of Santa Croce, located adjacent to the leather school, which can be accessed via a secret passage located inside the school itself.
