Tracey Emin installation at Hotel Savoy
Experience Florence’s unique cultural scene with a stay at Hotel Savoy, a haven for the arts. In partnership with the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, we are hosting ‘My Forgotten Heart’, a celebrated neon installation by iconic British artist Tracey Emin, on the occasion of her exhibition from 16 March to 20 July 2025. One of the most important contemporary artists of her generation, Emin is renowned for her honest personal narrative style and unflinching gaze upon the human experience.
Exploring themes of love, loss, and the complexities of being, Emin’s work has been exhibited at major institutions, including MoMA in New York, Tate Britain in London, and the Venice Biennale. She is highly acclaimed for creating art that provokes, challenges, and moves. Emin’s handwritten signage offers an emotionally resonant nod to her seaside hometown, with ‘My Forgotten Heart’ subverting the commercial use of the neon form.
Renaissance Reverie
As part of our creative collaboration with the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, Hotel Savoy guests staying in our "Artists Suites" between 13th and 15th March are invited to enjoy a Renaissance Reverie, including:
- A closed-door preview of the Tracey Emin exhibition at the historic Palazzo Strozzi
- Attendance at a private Gala dinner in honour of the exhibition’s opening
- Entry to a VIP preview party
Throughout the duration of the exhibition, from 16 March to 20 July 2025, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy private afterhours tours, guided by Arturo Galansino, Director General of Fondazione
