Garden & Cooking Class

The vegetable garden is one of the most interesting aspects of Masseria Torre Maizza, both because it is arranged on typical terraces and because of the zero-kilometre products that are used daily in the restaurants. The chef illustrates the path that scenographically descends into the blade, lingering over the production, harvesting seasonal vegetables and interspersing the visit with anecdotes and
curiosities as well as organising an open-air cookery school.

Cooking Class

Ideal for both novice cooks and seasoned gourmands, our cooking classes are a hands-on journey through Puglia’s culinary history. Discover the stories behind each dish, as you learn how to prepare a range of regional specialities from our chefs, with ingredients freshly picked from Masseria Torre Maizza. Upon request, you can also visit the port and greet the incoming boats with our chefs as they select the best catch of the day.

Puglia has a rich and fascinating wine culture that dates back to the 7th century. Traditionally known for exporting bulk wine to the north, the region is home to an exciting and dynamic new movement and is now one of Italy’s top producing regions.
