Discover Italy Anew with Our Upcoming Openings

Italy has long captured the hearts and minds of travellers, with its blend of cinematic landscapes and a culture of passion and pleasure-seeking. From sun-soaked shores to grand palazzos, each of our new properties reflects the authentic spirit of the locale yet distinct in its approach to service and hospitality, an ethos unique to Rocco Forte Hotels. Take a closer look at our future openings, celebrating the very best of Italy.

Palazzo Castelluccio, Noto

In southeastern Sicily lies the ancient town of Noto, the island’s capital of baroque, where ornate churches and honey-hued palazzi crafted from local stone reflect an enduring style and cultural heritage. Its architectural homogeneity is the result of a devastating earthquake which struck the city in 1693, resulting in a grand reconstruction throughout the 18th century.

Joining our existing hotels on the island, Villa Igiea and Verdura Resort, Rocco Forte Hotels will welcome guests to Palazzo Castelluccio in 2026. As one of Noto’s meticulously restored residences, the hotel will offer an intimate connection to a bygone era, its 31 rooms evoking an inherited charm, yet with the comfort of contemporary luxuries and amenities. Its elegant interiors have been curated by Olga Polizzi and designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, whilst a romantic Sicilian garden offers a hidden oasis.

The Palazzo Castelluccio is a perfect fit for us, with an inspiring history and enchanting aesthetic that tells the story of its location.

The Carlton, Milan

Set in the Quadriletaro della Moda, the most fashionable neighbourhood in one of the world’s most stylish cities, The Carlton is a bold new chapter for Milan, set to open in late 2025.  It marks our second property in Italy’s design capital, following the successful debut of Rocco Forte House in 2024. Celebrated as a global hub of fashion, art, and culinary innovation, Milan’s cosmopolitan charm lies in its diverse blend of architecture, world-class galleries, its thriving music scene and culture of design.

Under the creative direction of Olga Polizzi, in continued collaboration with interior designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, the hotel will offer an authentic Milanese experience. Elegant interiors and refined furnishings will grace approximately 70 rooms and suites, whilst guests will enjoy access to a restaurant and lounge bar, a wellness centre with a gym and spa, and a stunning rooftop bar with panoramic city views.

Palazzo Sirignano, Naples

As we continue to breathe new life into some of Italy’s most storied residences, 2027 will see the opening of Palazzo Sirignano, our first property in Naples. Lying at the foot of Vesuvius, Italy’s third largest city is celebrated for its artistic vibrancy, historic landmarks, and Mediterranean charm.

Once home to noble dynasties, renowned architect Michele Bönan will sensitively restore this 16th-century palazzo to its original splendour, incorporating a signature style across its 46 spacious suites to reflect a rich, aristocratic heritage. Highlights include a rooftop pool with panoramic views stretching to Capri, two elegant restaurants, a bar, expansive private gardens, and a serene spa. Palazzo Sirignano promises a unique vantage point from which to experience Naples.

Costa Smeralda, Sardinia

As the English novelist D.H. Lawrence once declared “This land resembles no other place. Sardinia is something else. It is like freedom itself.” Famous for its pristine shorelines, with powder-soft sands and turquoise waters, Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda sparkles – a beacon of timeless Italian living. Positioned by the bay of Liscia di Vacca in Porto Cervo along the northeast shores of the island, Rocco Forte Hotels prepares to make its Sardinian debut in 2026.

Guided by the creative vision of Olga Polizzi, Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels, and Patricia Urquiola, the interiors of all 64 rooms and suites will honour the rugged nature which surrounds them, relying upon natural materials and the artistry of local craftsmanship. Spectacular sea views are undeniably the jewel in this resort’s crown, whilst guests will also enjoy the use of a state-of-the-art spa, three restaurants, and a rooftop bar – perfect for a sunset aperitivo.
