Opening on 6 November, ahead of the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games, the hotel introduces a new expression of style and sophistication to the city’s luxury landscape.
From the Gothic beauty of the Duomo and da Vinci’s Last Supper to the cutting-edge creativity of its world-famous Fashion Week, Milan is a city of contrasts. And, set on the celebrated Via della Spiga, in the heart of Milan’s most stylish neighbourhood, The Carlton, Milan places guests right in the middle of it all.
Opening on 6 November, ahead of the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games, the hotel introduces a new expression of style and sophistication to the city’s luxury landscape. Coinciding with one of the most anticipated cultural and sporting moments in Italy’s recent memory, The Carlton offers an exceptional new base from which to experience Milan at its most dynamic.
From 6 – 22 February, the Olympic Winter Games will bring new life to the city, followed by the Paralympic Winter Games from 6 – 15 March. As a host city, Milan will be transformed – its streets animated by international visitors, cultural programmes, and world-class competitions. While the slopes of Cortina d’Ampezzo set the stage for alpine drama, Milan offers an artistic counterpoint alongside the Games: opera at La Scala, just minutes from The Carlton, aperitivo hour along the Navigli, and centuries of art at every turn, from the perfectly preserved nearby Bagatti Valsecchi House Museum, to the fabled Fondazione Prada.
For those drawn to fashion, the Quadrilatero della Moda offers a showcase of Italian and international style, with labels including Gucci, Versace, Armani, and Dolce & Gabbana, as well as a host of artisanal boutiques, a short stroll from the hotel. But Milan’s creativity expands well beyond the catwalk - the city that gave the world cotoletta alla Milanese, risotto alla Milanese and the festive panettone was always destined to have a fantastic food scene. Today, that legacy continues in everything from authentic neighbourhood trattorie to Michelin-starred destinations, all waiting to be explored.
And in a city dominated by design and rich in artistic and cultural legacy, it comes as no surprise that The Carlton is inspired by the sophistication and layered history of Milan itself. Guests are well catered for with 70 rooms and suites, a fine dining restaurant, all day dining lounge bar and a full-service wellness centre, including a spa and gym. Designed by Olga Polizzi, in collaboration with Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, the interiors are elegant, inviting and unmistakably Italian.
