The resort is looking stunning, I am so delighted with the results.
On Sicily’s southern coast, Verdura Resort looks toward summer. Languid, dreamy days followed by sun-warmed evenings. This season, with new restaurants and reimagined spaces, there’s even more to explore.
Joining the resort’s existing dining outlets, three new restaurants bring fresh perspective to its farm-to-fork philosophy, all under the stewardship of Chef Fulvio Pierangelini. At L’Osteria, the spirit of the traditional Italian gathering place is revived in an easygoing setting. Handcrafted pasta, local artisan meats, wines served by the carafe, all complimented by the seasonal bounty of the organic gardens. Dine on the terrace for sparkling sea views.
Close by, the newly unveiled piazza beside the 16th-century Saracen Tower brings a more sociable energy. It’s home boutique shopping, Liolà - the resort’s trattoria, refreshed with colourful majolica tiles and warm terracotta tones – and Nagori, an elegant dining destination offering something entirely different.
A bold fusion of Western and Far Eastern culinary traditions, Nagori moves effortlessly between Sicily and Japan with dishes such as tuna and wasabi cannoli, Mazara prawn ravioli, Sciacca scallops with yuzu. Housed within the Saracen Tower, the restaurant pairs seasonal dishes with a minimalist, Japanese-inspired design. Plates are made to share, best paired with crisp wines or warm sake.
Then there is Scirocco Bar, named after the wind that sweeps from North Africa to Sicily. Cocktails are distinctly Sicilian, crafted with local herbs and citrus, and paired with small plates. The terracotta palette and hand-painted wall motifs by Phyllis Claire Smith create a deep sense of belonging. It’s a place for aperitivo and lively conversations, to sip something deliciously refreshing on the palm-fringed terrace as the sun sets over the Mediterranean.
The culinary journey continues at Zagara, now reimagined as a secret garden at dusk, where bronze sculptures, climbing greenery, and stone pathways create a setting for unhurried dinners. Tucked among the foliage, secluded tables offer a sense of privacy, whether by the pool or indoors beneath dappled light.

We are thrilled to begin a new chapter in the story of Verdura Resort. The recent renovations really capture the essence of the location and elevate Verdura’s hospitality to new levels offering our guests an entirely new experience.
Alongside Verdura’s new culinary offerings, the resort’s lobby has been transformed by Lady Olga Polizzi, Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels, into a glass-wrapped sanctuary - light-filled, serene, and open to the landscape beyond.
Beyond these new additions, summer unfolds in every direction. Unwind at the flagship Irene Forte Spa, pick up new skills with sporting legends at the Academies with the Stars, join a hands-on Sicilian cooking class, or wander the fragrant orchards on horseback. Further afield, the island invites discovery - head out to sea with local fishermen in Sciacca, or greet the day among ancient ruins at the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, Italy’s Capital of Culture 2025.
Spend this summer on Sicily’s dazzling coast, where long days and shared moments await at Verdura Resort.
